As a self-funded SaaS team with a lean operation, in 2022 Mailmeteor had a clear vision: to expand from a Gmail-centric mail merge tool into a full email marketing solution for Gmail and Outlook.
In 2022, they partnered with me (and a couple of other solid writers) to build a scalable SEO content engine and explore ways to leverage their growing traffic for conversions.
Through a collaborative, done-with-you approach, we delivered results that contributed to:
- 450K+ monthly visitors to the website.
- 41,694 clicks/month from the top five blog posts.
- Creating a scalable system for nurturing and converting visitors.
- A suite of landing pages to position their product effectively.

The Challenge
Mailmeteor already had a strong product and a steady flow of sign-ups from the Google Workspace Marketplace and their existing SEO content.
However, as a small bootstrapped team, they lacked the resources to consistently ship the vast amount of SEO content needed to attract and engage their ideal customer profile (ICP) for a horizontal product.
With limited bandwidth, they needed a hands-off, results-driven approach that wouldn’t detract from their focus on product development.

Without adding unnecessary complexity to their lean operation, we developed strategies to optimize blog conversions and nurture potential customers who would otherwise bounce.
1. We Created a Lead Magnet and Email Nurture Sequence
- Designed a lead magnet to capture visitors who weren’t ready to sign up immediately.
- Built a follow-up email sequence to nurture these leads and guide them back to the product.
